Latest Enhancements to Concur Expense Service Pro Including Advanced Audit and Back-Office Capabilities; Customers Get New Features without Disruption or Upgrade Costs
REDMOND, Wash., March 23, 2004 - Concur Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CNQR), the leading provider of Corporate Expense Management solutions, today demonstrated the business efficiency of its Concur Expense Service Pro solution by providing valuable new capabilities to more than 1,000 of its customers overnight, across the globe. The dynamic update further illustrates the perpetual return on investment that hosted services has had for small and medium sized companies intent on driving costs out of the expense management function.
By simultaneously upgrading its Concur Expense Service Pro customers, Concur is addressing demand for continuous innovation without business disruption. Among the many enhancements that are now part of the service, the update provides Concur's customers with greater flexibility for how they can leverage expense data. Customers can now analyze entertainment spending in terms of which individuals or organizations have been entertained, providing detailed visibility into the cost of a particular business relationship for the first time. In addition, the enhancement also provides the ability to define stricter controls for enforcing travel policies and detecting expense fraud. For example, a comprehensive new audit report conveniently shows expense reports that had exceptions to policy and their full approval chain. This report assists organizations in pinpointing potentially fraudulent activity or sustained weaknesses in policy enforcement. A number of back-office capabilities have also been added to streamline and customize the expense report process.
"This new release demonstrates one of the key advantages of Concur Expense Service Pro for customers," said Steve Singh, chairman and chief executive officer of Concur Technologies, Inc. "We are able to deliver innovative features that make expense processing easier and more efficient, without requiring each customer to undertake a costly software upgrade. By providing continuous innovation at no additional charge, we're able to deliver an immediate and perpetual return on our customers' investment."
Unlike the traditional software upgrade cycle, which typically requires several months and dedicated IT resources, updates to Concur Expense Service Pro are deployed seamlessly, at no additional cost. By introducing incremental updates, customers are also spared the expense of having to retrain their staff on a large collection of new features.
"With a network of more than 220 franchise offices nationally and a corporate workforce on the move every hour of every day, we cannot afford the hassles of managing another enterprise application and updating it on a constant basis," said Steve Burtchell, GIS Analyst, Accounts Receivable and Project Manager for Paul Davis Restoration. Not only does it allow us to accurately track and control our travel expenses, but it also enables us to focus more directly on our core business."
