Raytheon Systems Tackles Travel Expenses with Concur Expense

LONDON, England, July 06, 2004 - Concur Technologies, Inc, (NASDAQ: CNQR), the global leader in expense management solutions, today announced that Raytheon Systems Limited, a major provider of Defence and Aerospace systems, has deployed Concur Expense Service Pro™ to manage corporate expenses more effectively.

Raytheon Systems Limited is using Concur Expense Service Pro amongst its 1700 employees. Since January 2004, employees from around the United Kingdom have been using the service to submit their expense reports.

The introduction of the expense management service is part of Raytheon's two-year travel strategy designed to manage and track employee expenditures. Concur Expense Service Pro was chosen over other vendors that were considered as it best met Raytheon's requirement for expense management via a service rather than licensed software.

David Kerr, Manager of External Services at Raytheon explains, "With Concur Expense Service Pro, we do not have to worry about costly and time consuming upgrades and there is practically no support needed from our internal IT department. Concur manages all of that for us."

"The service that went live in January 2004 has been extremely well received by employees. The system is simple to use, which has meant minimal disruption to staff and very little culture change," added Kerr. "Previously, employees were using a manual paper-based system to manage their expenses. They were physically inputting data onto an Excel spreadsheet and calculating their own VAT. But Concur Expense Service Pro has eliminated the need for this, freeing up employee time, increasing productivity, and allowing Raytheon to focus on core business activities."

Raytheon is also taking advantage of the ability to capture and track expense data that is provided by Concur Expense Service Pro. The data can then be analysed to help make more intelligent purchasing decisions, such as negotiating better rates with business and airline vendors.

Simon Nelson, General Manager EMEA for Concur, said: "We are delighted to add Raytheon to our portfolio of European customers and look forward to a long working relationship with them. Our service model is ideal for companies like Raytheon who are looking for all the benefits of automated expense management without having to manage an in-house system."
