TripIt Makes It Easy for Travelers to Reach Their TMCs

New “TripIt for TMCs” Program Allows Travelers to Contact Their TMCs—Anytime, Anywhere, on Any Device


UK, July 27, 2015 – TripIt® from Concur®, the world’s highest rated travel-organizing app, today announced “TripIt for TMCs,” a new program that creates visibility for travel management companies (TMCs) within TripIt. The program allows travelers to reach their TMC directly—anytime, anywhere, on any device—to change their plans or get help during their trip.


“At TripIt we’re always looking for ways to make life easier for travelers, and as business travelers ourselves, we know that it isn’t always easy to determine who you should contact if you need to make changes to your travel plans,” said Jugdeep Bal, Concur’s senior director of business development for TripIt.


With the new program, travelers simply forward their travel confirmation emails to Then, if their travel was booked through a participating TMC, the TMC’s contact details and logo will be available right alongside their travel plans within the TripIt app. If the traveler has TripIt Pro, their flight alerts for delays, cancellations and more will feature the TMC and point them to the TripIt app where they can call their TMC directly.


“If you’re on a business trip and need to make a sudden change to your travel plans, the last thing you want to do is stop and search for your TMC’s contact information. Now, if your TMC is part of the program, you’ll be able to call your TMC right from the TripIt app—saving you valuable time that could end up being the difference between whether you make it home, or to your next meeting, on time,” continued Bal.


TripIt and the TMC Community Partner for Success: Program Debuts With Six Launch Partner TMCs


For TMCs, opportunities to stay connected to travelers diminish after they book their travel plans. The “TripIt for TMCs” program provides an easy way for TMCs to be accessible to their travelers after they book, and to stay top of mind anytime their travelers need to make a change to their reservation while on the go.


When developing the program, TripIt worked closely with a group of TMCs to create a program that meets the needs of the TMC community. Adelman Travel, Christopherson Business Travel, FCm Travel Solutions, FROSCH, Travel Incorporated, and World Travel Service, Inc. participated as launch partners in the program.


“This program provides a foundation for a mutually beneficial long-term relationship for TripIt, TMCs and travelers,” said Bal. “TMCs stay connected to their customers after they book; travelers have a quick and easy way to get in touch with their TMC anytime, on any device; and TripIt has the opportunity to make life easier for more travelers.”


The program is open to TMCs of all sizes in the US or other English-speaking countries.
