7 Steps to Travel Success: New Distribution Capability

SAP Concur Team |

Let’s face it, everyone loves a buzzword.

I’ve particularly noticed this in the return of a long-standing BBC favourite, The Apprentice. It’s good to see “synergies become aligned” as they strive to prove they are the best business partner.

But buzzwords are apparent in the business travel world too – NDC being one that comes up time and time again.

What is NDC?

NDC stands for New Distribution Capability which is an initiative launched by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) that is set to transform the way airfares are shared and sold.

The IATA is looking at limitations of the current global distribution system including…

  • Product differentiation and time-to-market
  • Access to full and rich air content
  • Transparent shopping experience

…and ultimately trying to make the travel booking experience better for everyone.

As part of our 7 Steps to Travel Success webinar series, Tom Wilkinson from SAP Concur, and guests from British Airways, Business Travel Direct and Travelport, discussed what NDC means and how you can prepare for upcoming changes.

To find out more about NDC and how it affects business travel, listen to the full webinar on demand.
