According to a global survey of small and midsize businesses (SMBs) by Wakefield Research, business travellers recognise that travel is important to success. While some feel anxious and worried about resuming travel, many are excited to get back on the road. How are they planning on navigating the new normal? And what can companies do to support them? Wakefield’s research provides key insights.

- 51% anticipate fewer contracts or deals that require in-person meetings - 43% expect decline in new business due to lack of in-person meetings.

Travellers expect significant changes
- 26% predict they will use their personal vehicle for travelling
- 28% expect to prioritise direct flights
- 21% plan to avoid airports in major cities.
